CAE's Visiting Scholar Programme

The Centre for Applied Ethics (CAE) at Hong Kong Baptist University provides (non-stipendiary) Visiting Scholar Programme in areas of applied ethics.

CAE Visiting Scholars will have no teaching commitments but are expected to participate in the activities of the Centre and to hold at least one seminar and/or workshop during their tenure; the major part of their time, however, is devoted to research. CAE Visiting Scholars are encouraged to interact with university faculty and CAE Research Fellows regarding mutual research interests. Colleagues on this programme are expected to submit a report on their research at the end of their term.

With immediate effect , CAE Visiting Scholar Programme grants will be awarded, on an honorary basis, for research periods of up to 6 months ; they will be particularly suitable for scholars on paid sabbatical leave from their home institutions. CAE Visiting Scholars are allocated an office/study room in the Centre for Applied Ethics with full computing facilities and provided with free accommodation in the university's hotel-like NTT International House.
